When you first purchase a wooden item, soak it liberally with mineral oil or butcher block oil, and let it soak in for 5 minutes to several hours. Wipe off the excess oil and use it normally. Whenever the board feels dry repeat the process again, and it will look new.

Cleansing :
The best way to care for wood boards is to wash them by hand. Never soak in water for too long to prevent splitting or cracking. Use warm water and mild soap to wash the surface. This will cleanse the exterior without subjecting the wood to elements that will destroy the material. NEVER put wood items in the dishwasher or the microwave oven.

• Do not scrub these when wiping down or the finish could fade
• Do not soak or put in the dishwasher
• Do not let deep pigment foods sit directly on the Board or it could stain the finish
